Links to Minnesota DFL Party Organizations - Minnesota Democrats
CD5 encompasses all of Minneapolis, Richfield, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, New Hope, Crystal, Robbinsdale, Fridley, Columbia Heights, Hilltop, and parts of Hopkins, Spring Lake Park, St. Anthony, and Edina. All of Senate District 63 falls within the boundaries of CD5. The number one priority in CD5 in 2012 is to re-elect DFLer Keith Ellison to represent the 5th Congressional District in the U.S. Congress.
The Minneapolis DFL is responsible for nominating and electing Democrats to the Minneapolis City Council and Mayor's Office, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board of Commissioners, the Minneapolis School Board, and the Minneapolis Board of Estimate and Taxation. DFLer R.T. Rybak is Mayor.
The Hennepin County DFL works to elect Democrats as Hennepin County Board of Commissioners, Hennepin County Attorney and Hennepin County Sheriff. DFLer Mike Freeman is County Attorney.
The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party works hard to re-elect Democrats across Minnesota to elective office. We are grateful that Minnesota's state government is led by a group of really smart, hard-working DFLers including Governor Mark Dayton, Lt. Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon, Attorney General Lori Swanson, State Auditor Rebecca Otto, and Secretary of State Mark Ritchie.
